Job Overview: I did the Disney College Program and was given the role of a "Merchantainer" at Disney's Magic Kingdom. This is an amazing experience where you have the opportunity to work for Walt Disney and take school classes as well. Walt Disney World's Mission Statement is to “create happiness by providing the finest in entertainment for people of all ages, everywhere.” You will get the privilege of making this happen everyday when working here.

Job Responsibilites: This role includes “handling cash, stocking, selling and handling of food, providing information to guests, approach and engage guests in conversation, working independently or as a large team, and working long periods of time.”
Job Requirements: You must have a “Disney approved” personality. This means you need to first pass a personality test designed by Disney. The employee must be able to socialize and interact with guests, always have a friendly approach, and to give their full attention to the customers.
Benefits & Opportunities: There are many benefits including dorm living, hourly pay, discounts at all Disney merchandise store as well as some discounts with restaurants and stores outside of Disney, unlimited access into the parks, free guest tickets every certain hours you work, and holiday packages with more free items and larger discounts.
Achievements: The biggest achievement you will have when working for Disney is making that one guests' entire day. You will have the honor of meeting children from the Make-A-Wish Foundation and getting them to forget about all their worries and create some of the best Magical Moments. Some other achievements would be the 4 keys cards. This is something you can get by another co-worker who felt you succeeded in a certain area. You can also get a letter from a guest thanking you for whatever you did that made them feel special.
